One of the key monuments of the Early Bronze Age of the Armenian Highlands, the Shengavit ancient site, is located in Yerevan. Excavations have revealed that Shengavit was founded in the 4th millennium BC and survived for more than a thousand years.
The ancient site spread on the shore of the Hrazdan River, now Yerevan Lake, hides many historical and cultural secrets under the soil layer.
