The newly elected Yerevan Council of Elders elected Tigran Avinyan as the 15th mayor of Yerevan. Among the 37 members of the Amagan participating in the voting, 32 voted in favor of Tigran Avinyan, and 5 voted against.
Notably, the "Civil Contract," "Republic," and "Public Voice" factions participated in the first session of the newly elected Yerevan Council of Elders. And the "National Progress" and "Mother Armenia" factions boycotted the session.
