"During the pre-election period, we had quite heated debates with our opposition partners, but I can state that the plans of many were identical. There were plans for the development of Yerevan; there were provisions for the transport network, the restoration of courtyard areas and parks, and the construction of various new systems. Be it a cable car or a subway station, It is important that these provisions are general," announced the newly elected mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan.
According to the mayor, all forces participating in the election had points in their programs that were reflected in their pre-election programs. "I undertake that the Yerevan Municipality will serve the implementation of these general provisions with all its potential," declared Tigran Avinyan.
Notably, the Yerevan Council of Elders elected Tigran Avinyan as the 15th mayor of Yerevan today, with 32 votes in favor and 5 against.
