The regular procedural consultation of Yerevan Municipality has started. Tigran Avinyan began the talk by expressing his concern that they are trying to build various voluntary buildings in Yerevan, taking advantage of the pre-election situation.
"During the pre-election period, attempts are being made in Yerevan to use the time to build various voluntary buildings. Our response should be maximally tough. Not only should this be stopped, but it should also be destroyed as quickly as possible," Tigran Avinyan emphasized.
"During August, 31 demolition works were carried out, 8 of which were gas stations. The attic built at 39 Tumanyan Street was completely dismantled. We are starting to carry out the demolition works at 60 Aram Street," said Yakov Asatryan, Head of the Urban Planning and Land Control Department of the Yerevan Municipality.
According to Asatryan, on June 3, an illegal building was built at 60 Aram St., on the top floor of the Yeghishe Charents Museum building. After receiving the appropriate expert data this morning, the demolition works began.
