"Yerevan's historical heritage should be treated as sacred." Tigran Avinyan

At 60 Aram Street, dismantling the attic built on the roof of the house museum of Yeghishe Charents has started.

On June 4, the Urban Development and Land Control Department of Yerevan Municipality drew up a protocol, and the condominium serving the building applied to the Expert Center of the Ministry of Justice. During the regular working consultation, it was reported that the expert examination concluded that the given building was built without observing the urban development norms and contained a public danger. Given the conclusion, the condominium appealed to the community to begin the dismantling process.

By the way, 31 structures were demolished in August alone, 8 of which were gas stations (in Kentron, Arabkir, and Ajapnyak administrative districts).

The community has introduced the first electric bus, which will soon be tested in the capital. Yerevan Municipality will quickly announce a relevant tender to purchase 250 such vehicles. "Electric ones will replace Haiger" brand buses.

"Most importantly, we continue to introduce 'green' transport, one of the most important commitments to improve air quality. We are on the right track; we must strictly monitor air quality in Yerevan. In addition to setting standards and presenting demands to the private sector, we must also take clear steps," Tigran Avinyan emphasized.

The "Kzhov girl" sculpture installed in the capital 85 years ago has been completely restored. The area adjacent to the monument was also improved with the project.

"The historical heritage of Yerevan needs our attention. And if a different policy has been followed for decades, it does not mean we should not change it by 180 degrees now. We should treat such statues and our monuments-buildings very carefully. In general, Yerevan's historical heritage should be treated as sacred," said the deputy mayor.

On the initiative of Yerevan Municipality, on September 12, 13, 14, and 15, the exclusive program "Opera under the open sky" will be held in Tumo Park. It should be noted that the "Opera Gala" scheduled for September 15 will be held at 21:00 instead of 20:00 due to the flights of the invited artists from abroad to Yerevan.
