It is planned to organize an airplane model festival for the first time at Arzni airport; Arman Antonyan
On May 27, at noon, at the initiative of the International School of Aeronautical Modeling of Yerevan, Arzni Airport, dedicated to the founding of the First Republic of Armenia, is planned to organize an airplane model festival for the first time, tends to become international, to develop the field in Armenia, to host airplane modelers from different countries, to organize luxury air shows, to experience with exchange expectations. Arman Antonyan, a Yerevan Council of Elders member, announced this today at the regular session of the Council of Elders of Yerevan Municipality.
According to him, during the festival, particular areas will be set aside for demonstration pilots of radio-controlled aircraft models, drones, and other aircraft, and demonstration models.
The member of the Council of Elders presented the work carried out as a result of the 2021 decision of the Yerevan Council of Elders in the direction of the improvement and development of the Yerevan Aviation Modeling School. Antonyan mentioned that the school's primary goal is to give teenagers and young people the necessary knowledge to enable them to continue their professional studies in one or another higher educational institution. The school organizes step-by-step drone management courses for pre-military and demobilized young people.
