"Since our victory in the Yerevan mayoral elections, we have been implementing our pre-election programs, the promises we made to the residents of Yerevan. And I think we are doing them quite successfully," announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, 1000 "gazelles of despair" were removed from circulation in Yerevan, "It is 70% of the total number of gazelles. Others will also be withdrawn from circulation shortly. You know that the batch of new buses is already in Yerevan. There will also be routes shortly."
Pashinyan emphasized that more than 1000 "elevators of death" have been replaced with new ones.
Speaking about the upcoming elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders, the Prime Minister noted, "Elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders are political elections, and the Council of Elders, our political team, has assumed responsibility. For example, if you consider that buying new buses is corruption, changing elevators is corruption, creating a new garbage collection system is corruption, street lighting, asphalt paving is corruption, it's a different issue."
Referring to the news of holding the council elections ahead of schedule, the Prime Minister said he could only give new information about the polls what the legislation stipulates, "We don't have such decisions, at least now."
