"The most voluminous and large-scale works are carried out in the field of construction and improvement," Tigran Avinyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, announced at the year-end press conference.
According to him, kindergartens and polyclinics are of primary importance, "At the moment, two polyclinics in Avan and Nork Marash administrative regions, as well as 22 kindergarten buildings in Yerevan, which are under two different programs, are undergoing major repairs, but the essence of the major repairs does not change. Work on two more kindergartens was completed during the year, and we are in the tender to construct one kindergarten."
According to Avinyan, the successful course of the project made it possible to start the work of the next stage of the project with partner organizations, which plans to overhaul and repair 32 more kindergartens and 6 polyclinics.
Tigran Avinyan stated that special attention is paid to cultural centers, "The artistic theater named after Mher Mkrtchyan is currently being renovated, the renovation of the Yerevan Youth Audience Theater and the Youth Creative City Center is in the tender stage, and the renovation of the music school named after Sayat Nova has already been completed."
