Tigran Avinyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, referred to the capital's garbage sorting and recycling works, "We also emphasize waste sorting and recycling, which, in addition to the primary environmental component, also has an economic component. Our goal is to have a sustainable and recyclable waste circulation, year by year, increasing its specific weight compared to the total volume of waste."
Avinyan noted that 160 tons of waste were only sorted this quarter: "Next year, we plan to install waste bins for metal containers as well."
