Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
"Today is the World Public Transport Day. This post could refer to some of the reforms that have already taken place in the sector, the new buses bought or the expected new metro station. But let's be honest. Every day, the people of Yerevan face severe problems in the most basic process of moving from one place to another.
Profound systemic changes must still be made, and every citizen's comfortable and safe movement must be ensured to safely say that the transportation problem in Yerevan is solved from now on. On this occasion, I would also like to thank all the drivers of public transportation in Yerevan and the specialists serving the sector for carrying out their work under such busy conditions."
