Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan addressed the transport problems in a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, noting that they will be solved by 70 percent during the next year.
According to Sargsyan. "I am sure that by 2023 we will solve 70 percent of the transport problem. The transport problem is not only the acquisition of vehicles, but it is one of the priority steps. We also need to implement traffic management. We expect to have the control center in September. will have that in about 2-3 months."
He also spoke about the process of purchasing buses, according to the contract, it is planned that 87 MAN buses will be in Yerevan by 2023. "This year, a tender was announced for the purchase of 165 buses of the "Zhong Tong" brand. 150 out of 165 are already completely ready, they will leave China for Armenia in 4-5 days. We expect that these buses will be in Yerevan by the end of December."
