Yerevan Municipality informs that pruning works have started in the capital. In the Kentron administrative district, equipment and labor are concentrated on Mashtots Avenue.
"GEP" CNCO has undertaken the responsible work of pruning the plane trees registered in the Red Book, which the professional group of the organization follows.
The linear plantation of sycamores on Mashtots Avenue was the last cut about 40 years ago, was pruned quite profoundly, and was not renewed. Considering that the plane tree is regarded as a symbol of Yerevan, the work will be done with minimal damage to the tree without damaging the skeletal branches. Then watering and feeding of the pruned trees will be done. Formative pruning will be carried out after the end of the growing season.
The exact timing depends on weather conditions.
