Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
"For us, it is of primary importance to inform the people of Yerevan about the correct orientation in emergencies. Public awareness of this matter is no less critical than making the city as safe and secure as possible.
For this purpose A. A course on safety rules was held for the students of Physmath School, named after Shahinyan. The project was implemented due to joint work with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district.
A trial alarm was activated in the school as part of the practical work aimed at correct orientation in case of notice. Not only did the children learn to orient themselves when necessary, but they also became adept at finding nearby shelters.
One of our upcoming plans is to put all shelters in the city in order as soon as possible. Such events will be continuous to ensure the necessary awareness of security and emphasize its importance.
