The deputy mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, stated that the flyover bridge connecting Marshall Baghramyan Avenue to Kasyan Street in the capital is now open and functioning. Bridge repair works have been completed.

He wrote on his Facebook page, "It should be noted that the urgency of the repair works was paramount because two deformation seams of the bridge were damaged, as a result of which the beams and the entire platform were damaged. Such an emergency could lead to collapse.

Thus, as a result of the renovation, waterproofing, concreting, and strengthening were carried out, and a new look was given to the curb stones of the bridge.

To extend the bridges' operation and avoid serviceability problems, the city's bridges will undergo more urgent and targeted maintenance.

To improve the condition and maintenance of the infrastructure, the works in the existing and future projects will be carried out with new approaches; we will pay more attention to the planning dates of the results to avoid traffic jams as much as possible."
