The capital will have a "Yerevan" medical center equipped with quality services and modern equipment
The plan of the Yerevan Council of Elders' upcoming session includes renaming "Kanaker-Zeytun" Medical Center CJSC, approving the change in the charter, and reorganizing, "Levon " Hovhannisyan Cardiology Institute" CJSC in the form of a merger.
Taking into account that the project received quite controversial responses, Gevorg Simonyan, the deputy mayor of Yerevan who coordinates the capital's healthcare sector, visited the Research Institute of Cardiology named after L. A. Hovhannisyan with members of the council of elders and presented the building conditions and services of the medical center on the spot.
Deputy Mayor Simonyan noted that the current deplorable condition of the medical facility already proves that it is difficult to imagine the possibility of providing excellent and quality medical services under these conditions.
