Since you won't give me the Nobel Prize, I don't have to think about peace. Trump

US President Donald Trump has linked his desire to take control of Greenland to his failure to win the Nobel Peace Prize, saying he is no longer “only thinking about peace.”

In an interview with NBC News, Trump declined to say specifically whether he would use force to take Greenland. He repeated his threat to impose tariffs on European countries if an agreement is not reached.

Earlier, in a message to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on Sunday, Trump wrote:

“Given that your country has decided not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize for stopping eight wars, I no longer feel obligated to think only about peace, although that will always be a priority, but I can now think about what is good and right for the United States of America.”
