French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the first French military units have arrived in Greenland to participate in the Danish military exercise "Operation Arctic Endurance". Speaking about the threats to world peace, Macron stressed that France and Europe must continue to ensure a presence where their interests are at stake.
He stressed the "special responsibility" of European countries for the security of this territory, which belongs to the Kingdom of Denmark. He confirmed that, in the coming days, the French presence will be reinforced with additional land, air, and sea assets to stand by the sovereign state and defend its territory.
