Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared a state of emergency in the country’s energy sector. A 24-hour coordination center will be established in the capital, Kyiv, to respond quickly to the situation.
The authorities also plan to change the curfew due to low temperatures. Zelensky stressed the need to provide Ukrainians with access to the maximum number of support points and to allow businesses to plan their activities in accordance with the current situation in the energy network.
“Of course, where the security situation allows. The government should present appropriate proposals so that people can receive the necessary support at any time, and businesses can plan their activities more rationally,” he added.
