I blew them up. Trump

US President Donald Trump has urged Iranians to continue their protests and remember the names of those who have abused them, promising that help is at hand.

The statement came as Iran's clerical regime cracked down on the largest demonstrations in years.

"Iranian patriots, keep protesting, help is at hand," Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform, without elaborating on what kind of help he meant.

He added that he had canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the "senseless killings of protesters" stopped. In a subsequent speech, he urged Iranians to "remember the names of the killers and abusers... because they will pay a very heavy price."

An Iranian official said that about 2,000 people had died during the protests. According to the US-based human rights organization HRANA, 1,850 of the 2,003 confirmed deaths were protesters. The organization also noted that 16,784 people were arrested.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said, "Iran said last time they would resist. I blew them up. They'd better behave this time."
