US President Donald Trump is inclined to launch military strikes against the Iranian regime as punishment for the bloody violence against protesters.
Axios reports that, according to senior White House officials, the president has not yet made a final decision and is currently studying various scenarios for the situation's development, including negotiation proposals from Tehran.
Alongside military threats, Trump has already announced new, tougher economic sanctions. In a post on the Truth Social social network, he noted that any country with business relations with Iran will have to pay a 25 percent tariff on all trade transactions with the United States.
This decision is aimed at maximizing economic pressure on Tehran. The president will discuss further steps, ranging from diplomatic intervention to brutal military strikes, during a Tuesday meeting with his national security team, including Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
