Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in an evening speech that Russia's primary strategy is to try to completely "cut off" cities.

"The main goal is to completely 'cut off' cities. It is important for each city administration to understand this goal of the enemy and prepare to counter it," Zelensky stressed.

He also said that all efforts currently being made in Ukraine are focused on quickly restoring the life support system, especially electricity, in the cities affected by Russian attacks. Zelensky added that maximum efforts and resources are being used to restore power supplies as quickly as possible.

Work is being carried out in various regions, including Kyiv and its environs, as well as the Dnipro, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Odessa, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.

"The Russians are not indifferent to the weather; taking advantage of the frost, they are trying to damage our energy facilities even more. It is obvious that they respect only their interests and America, not international diplomacy," the Ukrainian president emphasized.

Zelensky added that Russia carried out a demonstration strike with the "Oreshnikov" near the EU border, which he considers an equal challenge for Warsaw, Bucharest, and Budapest.
