Turkish Airlines has announced the cancellation of five flights from Istanbul to Tehran scheduled for Friday, according to a report by AFP. Azerbaijan's AZAL also released a statement regarding the situation.
Neither the Turkish nor the Azerbaijani authorities have commented on the recent protests in Iran, which have arisen in response to rising living costs and have posed challenges to the government.
