The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced today a ceasefire in the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh, and Bani Zayd districts of Aleppo, aimed at ending the military situation there and creating conditions for the restoration of law and order and official institutions.
“Out of full concern for the safety of our civilian population in Aleppo and to prevent a new military escalation in residential areas, the Ministry of Defense announces a ceasefire in the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh and Bani Zayd districts, which will come into effect from 03:00 after midnight,” the ministry said in a statement.
