US, Russian representatives meet in Paris

US President's special representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, in Paris. The two sides discussed the US plan to resolve the war in Ukraine, Axios reported, citing a source familiar with the process.

"Having reached an agreement with Ukraine on almost all aspects of Trump's plan, the White House needs a clear answer from Russian President Vladimir Putin on this proposal," the report said.

Le Monde previously reported that the Kremlin's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, was in Paris on the day of, or the day after, the Coalition of the Willing meeting. However, the Elysee Palace denied that Dmitriev visited the presidential palace.

Also on Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a bilateral document on US security guarantees for Ukraine was essentially ready, and the next step was to finalize it at the highest level.
