Maduro and his wife were injured in a US special operation

Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were injured during a US military operation in Caracas. During the operation, the couple tried to take refuge in a protected area. US special forces used sound and light grenades.

“When they arrested Maduro and Flores, both had bleeding wounds,” BILD writes.

Lawyers in court have filed a motion to provide medical care for both. Flores’ lawyer said that she “suffered significant injuries during her kidnapping,” including bruised ribs, and is demanding medical attention. Maduro’s defense attorney has also filed a motion to that effect. Journalists in the courtroom reported bruises and bandages on Cilia Flores’ head.
