The US delegation met in Paris with members of the “Coalition of the Willing” and the Ukrainian delegation to promote President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine, according to US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff.
The US delegation included US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, General Alex Grinkevich, Ambassador Charles Kushner, and White House Counsel Josh Gruenbaum.
Several meetings were held with European partners, including French President Emmanuel Macron, as well as with the Ukrainian side, with President Volodymyr Zelensky in attendance. The US delegation positively assessed the parties' cooperative approach and partnership atmosphere.
During the meetings, significant progress was made in several key areas, including the development of a framework for bilateral security guarantees and a prosperity program. The Coalition of the Willing also published its framework statement on security guarantees. The parties agree that achieving lasting peace requires strong security guarantees and sustainable economic and welfare commitments to Ukraine.
The United States and partners expressed their readiness to continue working together in this direction. Discussions with the Ukrainian delegation will continue tonight and tomorrow.
