Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin in Beijing today.
The Chinese president said that all countries should respect the development paths chosen by other countries' peoples and international law.
He said that in a world of change and chaos, unilateral actions and intimidation seriously undermine the international order.
He noted that China and Ireland support multilateralism and uphold international justice and fairness. He called on the two countries to strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs, jointly safeguard the authority of the United Nations, and make the global governance system more just and equitable.
