US President Donald Trump has said the United States could support another major strike on Iran if it resumes its ballistic missile or nuclear weapons programs. He also warned Hamas of dire consequences if it does not disarm.
Hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump suggested that Tehran could be working to rebuild its weapons programs after the massive US strike in June.
“I’ve read that they are building weapons and other things, and if they are, they are not using the facilities that we destroyed, but they may be using other facilities,” Trump said at a news conference.
“We know exactly where they are going, what they are doing, and I hope they are not doing it because we don’t want to waste fuel on the B-2,” he added, referring to the bomber used in the previous strike. “It’s a 37-hour trip each way. I don’t want to waste too much fuel.”
Trump, who has in recent months floated a possible nuclear deal with Tehran, said his discussions with Netanyahu focused on advancing the mixed peace deal he brokered for Gaza and addressing Israel’s concerns about Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
