New Trump-Putin phone conversation: Ushakov reveals details

US and Russian Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had another telephone conversation today, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reported.

Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov detailed what the leaders of the two countries discussed.

"Donald Trump and his key advisers, who participated in the telephone conversation, provided detailed information on the main results of yesterday's talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Mar-a-Lago.

In their speech, that is, in the Americans' speech, during these talks, the American side aggressively put forward the need for Kyiv to take real steps towards a final settlement of the conflict, rather than hide behind demands for a temporary ceasefire.

Zelensky was advised not even to try to provide peace for his armed forces, but to focus on reaching a comprehensive agreement that would lead to a real end to the armed conflict. Donald Trump reported on some progress made by Zelensky's team, which is moving in this direction, but, in our assessment, still leaves room for the Kiev authorities to interpret it in ways that evade their obligations.

And, of course, Vladimir Putin drew the attention of his counterpart, Donald Trump, to the fact that almost immediately after the American side considered the Mar-a-Lago round of negotiations a success, the Kiev regime launched a terrorist attack using large-scale long-range drones - an attack on the residence of the Russian president in the Novgorod region.

We made it clear that such reckless terrorist acts, of course, will not go unanswered. The US president was shocked by this news, was literally outraged, and said that he could not even imagine such crazy actions.

And, as noted, this will undoubtedly affect American approaches to working with Zelensky. Trump responded that the US administration, thank God, did not supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin stressed that the Russian side intends to continue to closely and effectively cooperate with its American partners to find ways to achieve peace. But, naturally, Russia's position will be reviewed in light of the agreements reached at the previous stage and the emerging solutions. This was very clearly stated.

And the Americans should treat this with understanding. Given the state terrorism carried out by Kiev, the Russian side cannot act otherwise. At the end of the conversation, the presidents very amicably agreed to maintain the dialogue," Ushakov said.

Recall that Trump and Putin also had a telephone conversation yesterday. Then, Trump met with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
