Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced after talks with Donald Trump that they had agreed on the next meeting of the Ukrainian and US delegations.
Zelensky once again thanked Donald Trump for the “extraordinary meeting. According to him, a substantive conversation took place on all issues.
“We highly appreciate the progress that the Ukrainian and American teams have made in recent weeks,” Zelensky noted.
He expressed special thanks to Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for their involvement and full commitment to the cause, and also appreciated the activities of the Ukrainian representatives, in particular Rustem Umerov and Andriy Gnatov.
According to the Ukrainian President, all aspects of the peace framework were discussed, and significant results were achieved. In addition, Zelensky and Trump discussed the sequence of further steps.
According to Zelensky, security guarantees are of paramount importance on the path to achieving a durable peace.
“We agreed that our teams will meet next week to finalize all the issues under discussion,” the Ukrainian president added.
He also noted that it was agreed with the US president that Trump would receive Ukrainian and European leaders in Washington in January 2026. “Ukraine is ready for peace,” Zelensky emphasized at the end of his post.
