During his speech at an educational conference, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz again warned Hamas that if it refuses to disarm under Trump's peace plan, Israel will do so itself.
At the same time, the minister stressed that Israel will never abandon the enclave.
"A security zone will be created that will include part of Gaza to protect the border communities," Katz noted.
