Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, local media reported.
Tokayev discussed bilateral relations and the international agenda with Trump, including the Ukrainian conflict.
The Kazakh president stressed the complexity of resolving the conflict in Ukraine, noting that the issue requires compromise, according to the Kazakh leader’s press service.
“The head of state stressed the complexity of resolving the Ukrainian conflict, where the territorial issue is paramount and requires compromise on both sides, taking into account the real situation on the ground,” the statement said.
Tokayev highly appreciated the US president’s leadership qualities and invited him to Kazakhstan.
