According to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Moscow does not actually intend to start a full-scale war against NATO, despite numerous warnings from Western politicians and intelligence agencies. In an interview with Die Zeit, he said that he did not believe that such a scenario would happen.
“In my opinion, Putin does not seek a full-scale world war against NATO. He wants to destroy NATO from within, undermining its unity,” said the defense minister, who initiated a law recently passed by the Bundestag that allows for an increase in the personnel of the German army, including through conscription.
