The proposals made by Ukraine and the European Union regarding the US settlement plan are quite unconstructive, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on December 21.
“I think that most of the proposals, of course, will not work for us. Yes, what has been proposed, I think, is quite unconstructive,” he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
According to Ushakov, Russia will develop a position for further contacts with the US on the Ukraine issue after the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the president’s special representative Kirill Dmitriev, reports on the talks held in Miami.
He added that Russia intends to uphold the agreements reached in Anchorage.
“Dmitriev has some information to share. But we are waiting for his return. I hope he will return on Monday and, first of all, report to President Putin on the results of his talks,” Ushakov said.
