Russia is ready for negotiations and a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The ball is entirely in the court of Kyiv and its European sponsors, Vladimir Putin said.
He stressed that Trump is making serious efforts to stop the conflict. During the Anchorage meeting, Russia largely agreed with his proposals, so it cannot be said that Moscow is rejecting any of them.
“Therefore, to say that we are rejecting something is absolutely wrong and has no basis. During the preliminary meetings in Moscow, we were presented with proposals and asked to accept certain compromises. When I arrived in Anchorage, I said that these would not be easy decisions for us. But we agree with the proposed compromises,” the president said.
