Moscow may offer mediation if Tehran does not object

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that in its contacts with the United States, Russia encourages the United States to seek mutually acceptable solutions to the situation around Iran.

“By the way, when we hold expert meetings with our American colleagues, we also raise these issues and call on them to seek mutually acceptable solutions. Therefore, the mediation services offered by us are well known,” the minister said during a press conference with Abbas Araghchi.

“We do not impose these mediation services, but if the Islamic Republic of Iran, first of all, as a key participant in the process, decides that such services are in demand, and if other parties in Tehran do not object, we are, of course, ready for this,” he added.
