Baku and Ankara attach importance to expanding the strategic partnership

The 17th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey high-level military dialogue has started in Baku. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported this.

During the meeting, Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Minister and Director General Agil Gurbanov met with a delegation led by the Head of the 2nd Department of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Levent Ergun.

Gurbanov noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are at a high level in all areas, including military matters, and stressed the importance of further expanding this cooperation.

During the meeting, the current mechanisms of military cooperation between the two countries were discussed in detail. During the military dialogue, the parties also analyzed the current state of military partnership and exchanged views on the main areas of activity to achieve these goals.

The 17th meeting of the military dialogue will continue until December 19. The subsequent sessions will be held at the International Bureau for Military Cooperation and the National Defense University.
