Harris prepares for new presidential race

The American news outlet Axios reports that former US Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris has decided not to give up politics. This week, the former vice president gave a clear signal that she is preparing for the 2028 presidential election.

Despite concerns from Democratic Party leaders and donors that Harris cannot win, she continues to lead in 2028 polls. She has firm support among black voters, who have played a decisive role in the Democratic primaries in recent decades.

This week, Harris took several steps that many consider the beginning of her 2028 campaign. She expanded her book tour, adding visits to South Carolina and cities with large black populations. Harris also spoke at the Democratic National Committee meeting in Los Angeles, where the committee chairman jokingly noted that Harris's husband could become "number one man."

A representative for Harris said she will continue to listen to Americans in 2026 and support Democrats in regaining the majority in Congress.
