150 Belarusian political prisoners to be released soon

Reform.news, citing several sources, reports that an official announcement on the release of more than 150 Belarusian political prisoners is expected in the coming hours.

The release is taking place within the framework of Polish-American negotiations with Minsk. According to sources, the released political prisoners will be deported from Belarus to Poland.

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Chris Smith has been in Minsk since the beginning of the week. The US Presidential Representative, John Cole, later joined him in Belarus. On Thursday, Cole met with Alexander Lukashenko.

It has not yet been announced who will be included on the list of those released, but sources report that the American side has taken Poland's wishes into account.
