Putin and Erdogan discussed regional issues

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchanged views on regional and international issues during talks in Ashgabat, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The leaders of Russia and Turkey met on Friday in Ashgabat, with delegations from both countries in attendance. The meeting lasted 40 minutes.

“There was also a detailed exchange of views on Ukraine, regional and international issues,” Peskov told reporters.

The parties also discussed the EU's use of Russian assets.

“They exchanged views on the aspirations of the Europeans, who are to commit large-scale fraud with Russian assets. The president gave a well-known assessment of this,” Peskov told reporters.
