Knesset members cancel trip to Tbilisi due to terror threat

Israeli media reports that Knesset members have been forced to cancel their trip to Georgia this weekend due to a terrorist threat. The members were to participate in events organized as part of the "Israel Week" in Georgia, including a Georgian-Israeli business forum.

The president of the Georgian-Israeli Business Chamber, Itsik Moshe, confirmed this information.

Itsik Moshe also reported that information about the threat had been passed on to the Georgian side. He expressed confidence that the event's security would be ensured.

According to the Georgian State Security Service, "neither Georgian nor Israeli intelligence agencies had any information about the threat of possible terrorist attacks."

"We are in contact with representatives of the Israeli intelligence service, who expressed their surprise at the spread of false information. "It is very sad that some Georgian media outlets are disseminating such information without being verified by us. We strongly urge everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information that harms Georgia," the agency said in a statement.
