US President Donald Trump has promised to make a phone call and end the war amid the latest escalation between Thailand and Cambodia.
"I'm going to have to make a phone call. Who else can say that I'm going to make a phone call and stop the war between two compelling countries, Thailand and Cambodia," he said.
More than half a million people have been forced to flee their homes along the border between Thailand and Cambodia amid the escalation of the border conflict, AFP reported.
On December 10, a representative of the Thai Ministry of Defense said that more than 400,000 residents in seven provinces had been evacuated. According to the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, more than 100,000 people had been evacuated from the country by the evening of December 9.
