Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has thanked US President Donald Trump, who, in a letter to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the President of Azerbaijan, expressed his appreciation for nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Your unwavering commitment to conflict resolution, your personal involvement in promoting dialogue, and your contribution to reducing tensions in different parts of the world, in my profound conviction, fully deserve the highest international recognition, including the Nobel Peace Prize.
Your leadership, grounded in determination and responsibility, embodies accurate service to the cause of promoting world peace.
I am confident that our partnership, through continued dialogue and cooperation, will contribute to strengthening peace, security, and prosperity in our countries and beyond,” Aliyev’s letter reads.
