Trump is the only Western leader who has begun to understand the reasons that made the war in Ukraine inevitable. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in the Federation Council.
Lavrov stated that the proposals brought to Moscow by the US President’s special representative, Steve Witkoff, concern ensuring the rights of national minorities and religious freedoms in Ukraine.
“The proposals, which were discussed in detail with the Russian President, relate, in particular, to the need to ensure the rights of national minorities and religious freedoms in the remaining part of Ukraine, in accordance with international obligations,” Lavrov said.
