India is entering a fast-paced era of artificial intelligence. Microsoft has announced a $17.5 billion investment over 2026-2029 to expand the country’s cloud and AI infrastructure, develop skills, and support ongoing operations.
This is in addition to the $3 billion program announced in 2025, which is expected to be fully implemented by the end of 2026.
