After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa posted identical posts on social media, Reuters reported.
“Ukraine’s sovereignty must be respected. Ukraine’s security must have long-term guarantees as the first line of defense for the European Union,” the posts read.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also attended the meeting.
