Russia has offered to allow Ukraine to withdraw its troops from Donbas and not to start military operations, but Kyiv prefers to fight. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this.
“Russia will liberate Donbas and Novorossiya in any case, by military or other means,” he emphasized.
Putin also mentioned the meeting with Witkoff and Kushner, noting that it was beneficial.
“The proposals brought to Moscow by the American side, one way or another, were based on the agreements signed with President Trump in Alaska. We had to discuss almost all the points, which is why the meeting lasted so long. It lasted a long time, because each point of the peace proposals had to be discussed,” the Russian President noted.
He also added that the American side divided the 27 points of Trump’s plan into four packages and offered to discuss them separately.
