US President Donald Trump has declared his complete confidence in Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
"I think Syria has come a long way in a short time. The new leader of Syria was here three weeks ago. He is really trying very hard to fix the situation in his country and unite the people. It is not easy at all. Some problems have persisted for centuries, but I think he can overcome them. I have great confidence in him," Trump said.
On November 10, Trump held a closed-door meeting with Syrian President al-Sharaa at the White House.
