The talks focused on territorial issues. Axios

According to Axios, a U.S. news outlet, yesterday's talks between the United States and Ukraine focused on the territorial issue.

According to the publication, the five-hour meeting was difficult and tense but productive.

According to the source, the United States insisted that Ukraine hand over the rest of Donbas to Russia.

After an hour of negotiations in an expanded format, the meeting was reduced to a narrow format with three representatives from each side. According to two Ukrainian officials, the line of territorial control remained practically the only topic of discussion after the war.

The American side was represented by Steve Witkoff, Marco Rubio, and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Rustem Umerov, Chief of the General Staff, Andrey Gnatov, and Deputy Head of Military Intelligence Vadim Skibitsky represented the Ukrainian side.

After the delegation's negotiations concluded, Umerov had an additional personal meeting with Steve Witkoff.
