The head of Russia's foreign intelligence service, Sergei Naryshkin, has arrived in the Turkish capital on a working visit, Kommersant reports.
According to reports, the meeting discussed the settlement of the war in Ukraine.
"Yesterday (November 27), Mr. Naryshkin was in Ankara, where he presented to us Russia's position on the program (referring to US President Donald Trump's "peace plan"). There are developments on this topic, and we have assessed all this," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a press conference in Berlin.
Earlier, the Turkish minister stated in an interview with the A Haber TV channel that the Russian-Ukrainian war is coming to an end, as the conditions for a ceasefire between the two sides "have already matured."
